Why a key. YouTube's anonymous endpoint returns a title but no publish time. The Data API returns the exact
timestamp plus the duration, which also lets the tool pick episode / clip / short for you.
Get one free at console.cloud.google.com → enable "YouTube Data API v3" → Create credentials → API key.
Without a key the tool still fills the title and falls back to the default publish time above.

Title and thumbnail swaps
Log each change with the time you made it. Readings from the
first swap onward stop feeding the baseline, because they describe a different package.
Velocity Index = your views at hour N divided by the segment median at hour N. 1.00 is on pace. Projected finish = views at hour N divided by the segment share-of-final at hour N, using the 25th and 75th percentile shares.
Baseline excludes any video with a thumbnail or title swap, any video without a settled 28-day total, and any reading taken at or after a swap. Your data saves automatically to this browser on every change. Use Download backup periodically.
